Tyron Eugene Byrd, 60, of Atchison, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 20, 2025, at his home in Atchison County, KS. 

The family will be having a celebration of life event at the American Legion building in Atchison on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM.  Cremation care has been taken place under the care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to the First Responders Foundation and may be sent to care of the funeral home.  Words of comfort for the family may be left at www.beckerdyer.com. 

Tyron was born November 18, 1964, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Jolly Eugene and Paula Dianne (Ogden) Byrd.  He had been a firefighter for the Atchison Fire Department and most recently a maintenance engineer for Amberwell, Atchison.  Tyron was a Legacy member of the VFW.  He enjoyed woodworking and car repair. 

Survivors include his mother Paula Dianne and Paul Vescovo, Gladstone, MO, two sons, Tyron Eugene Byrd, Jr., Wroclaw, Poland, Forrest Eugene Byrd, Kansas City, MO, a sister, Tiffany and Jeff DuCoing, Kansas City, MO, a grandson, Charles Jean Paul Byrd-Dubail and his dog Snoopy. He was preceded in death by his father.
