Phyllis Lynn Brittain

Phyllis Lynn (Smith) Brittain of Lenexa, Kansas, died June 13, 2025.
We will gather to remember and celebrate her life on Saturday, July 12, at 3:00 PM at Christ Church Anglican, located at 5500 W. 91st Street, Overland Park, KS 66207. A reception will follow immediately after the service and will be held on-site in a separate room. All who knew and loved her are welcome.
She was born February 8, 1949, in Quincy, Illinois to Marvin Randall Smith and Lillian Lucille (Peuterbaugh) Smith. She graduated from Atchison High School and Fort Hays State University. She was a registered nurse and certified case manager. She was a member of Case Management Society of America, and the Anglican Church of Overland Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Rees Brittain, three brothers, Austin Jay Smith, and John Smith, two sisters, Mae (Smith) Gorrell, and Ellen Claudine (Smith) Carte, and Logan Jeffery Smith (Donna). Phyllis is survived by a brother, Mark Justin Smith (Sherry), in Kansas City, Kansas. She is survived by children Thomas Geoffrey Brittain (Gretchen) Spring Hill, Kansas, and Julie Christine (Brittain) Pinnick (Bryan), Folsom, California. Grandchildren Reese Avery, Madeline Grace, and Zachary Raymond Brittain of Spring Hill, Kansas, and twins Reagan Christine and Abigail Caitlyn Pinnick of Folsom, California.
Throughout her nursing career, she gave herself fully to the care of others, offering compassion and support to countless patients and their families. Her kindness left a lasting impression on every life she touched. She was deeply loved, and nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her family and cherished grandchildren. Her absence will be deeply felt
