Nancy Jean Reece Kermashek, of Bella Vista, AR, formerly of Atchison and Leavenworth, KS, went to her final resting place on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
 Nancy is survived by her four children, Michael (Patty), Patrick (Sharon) all of Leavenworth, KS, Elizabeth Northup (Jim) of Little Rock, AR, and Douglas of Bella Vista, AR.She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Gail and Doris Reece, her brother Bill, and her loving husband, Gene.
 Nancy was born October 7, 1932, in Atchison, KS. Nancy worked at the First National Bank of Atchison before meeting and falling in love with Gene Ker­◤CO Check hyphenation◢mashek, of Lansing, KS.They married in April 1957. Together they shared sixty-seven wonderful years raising their family, traveling, and sharing their love of social gatherings with family and friends. Her high school friends have shared with us that she was known as “fuzztail” and a “fashion plate” while in school. We would have to agree as she lived up to that standard until her final days.
 Nancy was an avid golfer and participated in the Women’s Leagues at her respective golf clubs. She was also a fierce competitor when it came to playing Bridge. She enjoyed playing with friends and online with her brother Bill and sister-in-law, Evelyn. She was always the organizer when it came to family trips to Winter Park, Colorado, Table Rock Lake, and her yearly spring trips with Dad to Padre Island.
 Nancy and Gene shared a strong faith in the Lord. They were active in their religious community, St Bernard’s Catholic Church of Bella Vista, volunteering at functions, the Adoration of the Eucharist chapel, and singing in the choir. St Bernard’s held a special place in their hearts; Fr Barnabas’s continued prayers and support, the weekly Eucharistic ministers, and the church community that supported the family as they maneuvered through their journey for peace in the end.
 The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Darlene and mom’s private nurse, Monica, for their understanding and exceptional care, and the Circle of Life Bentonville team for their amazing care and support.
 A private family mass and burial will take place at a later date.
