Floyd Dean Jacobs, 87, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at Maple Heights Nursing Center in Hiawatha, KS. Floyd was born on May 27, 1937, to Clarence B. and Nora Mae (Marshall) Jacobs at their rural Mayetta home. 
Survivors include two sisters, Etta Mae Matthias, rural Horton and Lila June Talbott, rural Mount Union, Iowa and a sister-in-law, Margaret Jacobs of Muscotah, KS, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families. 
In addition to his wife Mary, Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald Jacobs and Dale Jacobs and two sisters, Martha Butterfield and Margaret Dodge. 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Mark Armstrong will be Officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
