Sharon Sue Phillips, 79, of Lancaster, Kansas, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.  

There will be no formal services for Sharon.  Memorials are suggested to Final Expenses or to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences for the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com. 

Sharon was born on May 24, 1945, at the family home in Lancaster, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Evelyn Dorssom.  She graduated from Effingham High School in 1963. Sharon later married Charles L. Phillips, he preceded her in death on August 28, 1990.  Sharon enjoyed the simple things in life, she enjoyed drinking her coffee, watching the Golden Girls, listening to Elvis Presley, and spending time with her grandkids, nieces and nephews.  

Sharon is survived by her son Jeff Phillips, Lancaster, Kansas, grandchildren Alexis (Angelina Ortiz) Fults, Springfield, Missouri and Jessica Emberly Phillips, Lancaster, Kansas, many nieces and nephews, and brothers Randy (Lori) Dorssom, Lancaster, Kansas and Ronnie (Sue) Dorssom, Atchison, Kansas. 

She is preceded by her parents Elmer and Evelyn Dorssom, husband Charles Phillips, and brothers Don and Chuck Dorssom.
