Benedictine College holds Disaster Simulation

More than 70 Benedictine College nursing students participated in a day-long disaster simulation training program Wednesday afternoon with the City of Atchison Fire and Rescue, Atchison County EMS, and the area National Guard Unit.Director of the School of Nursing, Sarah Harris, said students from the Populations health Care Clinic class simulated attending to the medical needs of victims of distress if a tornado were to strike the area.Julia McLaughlin, a senior nursing student said, “I feel like I’ve learned a lot.

No. 8 Ravens soar past Spartans for Homecoming win

For the third time this season, the defense of No.8 Benedictine tallied 6 or more sacks en route to a win.Saturday’s 48-14 win for the Ravens marked the third time in the past four games that Benedictine recorded 6 sacks defensively as the Ravens limited Missouri Baptist University to a new season low for rushing yards at 56 yards on 31 carries.While the Raven defense limited the Spartans rushing attack, Benedictine’s rushing attack allowed the Ravens to jump ahead to a 14-0 lead.
