INTERNATIONAL FOREST OF FRIENDSHIP CELEBRATES SECURITY AND SOLACE THROUGH FLIGHT

The International Forest of Friendship’s annual celebration for 2024 is September 20-21 with the induction of 15 honorees into Forest’s sidewalks, all representing contributions to aviation and aerospace. This year’s theme, Security and Solace through Flight, emphasizes contributions by military aviators, organizations like Angel Flight and flying doctors, and the aerial delivery of medicines.

Atchison Zonta Opens Club Year

The Atchison Zonta Club met September 9 at Paolucci’s Restaurant for the first meeting of the 2024-25 club year. The topic was Communications and Literacy, with Janelle Weishaar and Belinda Robinson as hostesses. Weishaar welcomed 11 members and 1 guest. Each member was asked to sign up for hostess duties for upcoming meetings.
