Maur Hill-Mount Academy recently announced that Luke Noll will be taking over the duties as the girls basketball coach for the next season.
Noll grew up in the area graduating from Jefferson County North High School and has been a part of the Topeka Hayden girls basketball program for five years. Noll spent three years as an assistant and two as the head coach.
Noll said that he is excited for the opportunity to join the Raven’s culture.
“It sounds like a good group of kids,” Noll said. “They obviously have a lot of good things going on at Maur-Hill and their facilities are going very well. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Noll said the familiarity of the area and continuing to work at a Catholic school drew him to MHMA.
“Working at a Catholic school was pretty attractive still,” Noll said. “My wife and I are both from the Atchison area so it kind of felt like the right place being in a Catholic school and area where we’re from.”
His wife Sara Noll will be teaching Chemistry and Physics at the school while Luke will be teaching Math.
Noll said the whole situation is a good fit for his family.
“I’m really looking forward to interact with the kids,” Noll said. “I think their school culture seems like a good fit for us and I’m really excited about hopefully starting something special there at Maur-Hill.”
