Riverbend International School’s Linus Wood competes in the hurdles during a meet earlier this season. Wood qualified for state in the 300-meter hurdles at Thursday’s regional meet.

Three local schools competed in the Rock Hills 1A regional track and field meet Thursday.

Troy, Doniphan West and Riverbend International School were all part of the regional. The top-four finishers in each event qualified for next week’s state track and field meet.

For Troy, Morgan Masters won the long jump with a distance of 17-09.75 and will compete in Wichita at the state meet.

Amanda Stock punched her ticket to state with a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing 5-00. Stock also qualified in the triple jump, taking third with a distance of 33-04.25.

Cassidy Rosenberger finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.85.

For Riverbend International School, Linus Wood finished fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.40 and will compete at the state meet.

For D-West, Heidi Leach’s time of 1:12.09 was good for sixth in the 400-meter dash, two spots from a spot at the state meet.

Troy’s Masters and Stock, and Riverbend’s Wood will compete at Wichita’s Cessna Stadium during the state meet Friday and Saturday, May 25-26.
