Maur Hill-Mount Academy baseball continued it’s dominating season Monday night with a sweep of Atchison County Community High School.

The Ravens won 18-3 in the first game and 26-4 in the second game. Both games ended in five innings.

Coach Phil Baniewicz said his team did a good job staying focused and playing up to its ability which has been an emphasis against lesser opponents this season.

“I thought our kids did well,” Baniewicz said. “They battled each at bat and understanding that we were doing what we should do.”

MHMA (12-0, 8-0) did give some more pitching experience to two of their younger players in sophomores Kenny Howard and Aaron Noll.

“I was happy with our pitching,” Baniewicz said. “It’s good to throw our young guys out there and get them ready for when we’ll need them.”

The Ravens will next take on Pleasant Ridge at home Thursday at 4:30 p.m. for a doubleheader.
