Director of Curriculum and Instruction Joshua Snyder, USD 377, was recently named Kansas Outstanding Educator of the Year.

The selection was recently announced during a gathering of Kansas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development members from throughout the state.

Snyder was selected for the statewide distinction based on evidence of his outstanding leadership and innovative classroom instruction in a kindergarten through 12th grade school setting.

The recognition is bestowed upon one educator meeting these qualifications among others.

In addition to his curriculum and instruction duties, Snyder also serves as assistant principal at Atchison County Community Elementary School and an elementary reading teacher.
