The USD 409 Board of Education members are scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Monday, May 13 in the community room of the district’s central office located at 626 Commercial St.

Board members expect to address some end of the current school year matters as well as put some in motion for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. The expected discussion highlights include: school safety and an update about Highland Community College Diesel Program.

Board members also expect to enter into executive sessions to discuss negotiations and non-elected personnel matters.

Following the closed door discussions, board members expect to take action on personnel matters that might include resignations, recommendations for employment and transfers, summer food service workers, and special education staff for the extended summer school.

Board members anticipate adjournment for the night after they take action on the personnel matters.
