The USD 377 Board of Education members will meet for their regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the board’s central office located at 306 Main Street in Effingham.
In addition to regular consent agenda items, board members expect to:
Recognize recent student achievements and accept gifts and grants.
Hear an audit report and financial statement from Megan Gracey, board clerk, administrative reports, and a budget update from Superintendent Andrew Gaddis.
Hear a report a Kansas Association of School Boards Conference report, district transportation report and Keystone educational services report.
Discuss a fee for replacement key cards and details about the potential creation of an educational foundation and to appoint a board member to serve on the board of directors for the potential education foundation.
Review on first reading recommended KASB Policy updates based off of legislation or recent case law.
Expect to recess from open session to convene behind closed doors to discuss non-elected personnel matters and then take action after the executive session. After the possible action concerning personnel board members expect to adjourn for the night.
