Effingham — Emme Smith and Matthew Worley were crowned Friday, Feb. 17 as the 2023 King and Queen of Courts at Atchison County Community Junior Senior High School.

The crowning took place during the halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game. Rounding out the royal Court were candidates Dalton Damon, Dylan Mullins, Natalie Navinskey, and Jenna Pitts. ACCHS Student Council and cheerleaders assisted with the crowning. Student Council President Emili Postma served as announcer for the coronation.
