Atchison Police DepartmentSATURDAY, DEC. 3 Joseph McConnaughey, Denton, and Ashlyn Bonnel, of Cummings. were drivers involved in an accident about 6:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Main Street. McConnaughey was cited for following too closely.
Police are investigating the theft of a handgun a 26-year-old that was reported stolen sometime between 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 and 7 a.m. on Saturday after forced entry was made into a parked truck in the 1100 block of Riley Street.
MONDAY, DEC. 5
Dale W. Birch, 54, Atchison, was arrested for an Atchison Community Corrections detain order. Birch was taken to Atchison County Jail.
Police are investigating the theft of three laptop computers and an iPad from an office on the Benedictine campus that occurred sometime between Friday, Dec. 2 and Monday, Dec. 5.
TUESDAY, DEC. 6
Takiya L. Bennet, 29, Atchison, was arrested for an Atchison County District Court warrant for domestic battery. Bennett was taken to Atchison County Jail.
Perez D. Smith, 38, Atchison, was arrested for an Atchison County Community Corrections detain order. Smith was taken to Atchison County Jail.
Dwight A. Downing, Jr. 51, Atchison, was arrested for an Atchison County Community Corrections detain order. Downing was taken to Atchison County Jail.
Ronald Bryant, Atchison, was the driver of a vehicle that struck a utility pole in the 100 block of South Third Street.
Christopher Tschauder, Atchison, was the driver of a vehicle that struck a mailbox in the 1600 block of Riley Street.
Police are investigating the unlawful entry into two parked vehicles that occurred before 1 a.m. in the 300 block of North 10th Street. Items taken from the vehicles include phone chargers, a radar detector, and some cash.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 7
Matthew R. White, 24, St. Joseph, Missouri, was arrested for an Atchison Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in municipal Court. White was taken to Atchison County Jail.
THURSDAY, DEC. 8
Dale E. Myers, Jr., 48, Topeka, was arrested for an Atchison County Community Corrections detain order. Myers was taken to Atchison County Jail.
Jordan H. Albright, 35, Atchison, was arrested for an Atchison Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in municipalcourt. Albright was released on bond.
Robert J. Ford, 48, Atchison, was arrested for an Atchison Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in municipal court. Ford was taken to Atchison County Jail.
Matthew R. White, 24, St. Joseph, Missouri, was arrested for an Atchison Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in municipal Court. White was taken to Atchison County Jail.
