A 17-year-old Atchison male was taken to the hospital for suspected serious injury suffered Tuesday evening as the result of a motorcycle accident near Oak Mills about 8 miles southeast of Atchison.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports the wreck occurred about 5:30 p.m. March 24 along Woodson Road about 200 feet west of River Road.

Setheus R. Holland was identified by KHP as the driver of a 1973 Honda motorcycle. The accident occurred as Holland was eastbound along Woodson Road when he lost control along the loose gravel, then overturned and came to rest in the roadway. At the time of the mishap Holland was not wearing a helmet or eye protection.

Holland was taken to the Atchison Hospital, KHP reported.

Atchison County Emergency Management, EMS, Rescue, and Sheriff’s Office all responded to the accident scene in addition to KHP.
