Members of the recently organized ACCS Foundation Board to benefit Atchison County Community Schools will gather for a special session at 7 p.m. Monday in Effingham.

The group will meet in the Atchison County Community High School Library located at 908 Tiger Road. After the meeting opens and the approval of the agenda, board members expect to hear a fundraising strategy presentation.

At their Jan. 28 meeting, board members heard a capital improvement proposal for a multi-purpose addition to the west of the existing high school gymnasium. USD 377 Board of Education members gave their thumbs up in support of the proposal at their February school board meeting.

Foundation Board members also expect to: Discuss the development of a vision statement and participation at the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Farm-City Banquet before they adjourn for the night.
