MUSCOTAH, Kan. Tamara Louise Boatright, 61, of Muscotah, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, from a stroke at the Mosaic Life Care Center in St. Joseph, Missouri, after being life flighted Sunday afternoon on May 5.

She was born on March 25, 1958, in Atchison, the daughter of John and Judith La Joie Brown. Tamara graduated from A.C.C.H.S. in Effingham, Kansas. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother.

On April 9, 1976 she married Gary Boatright in Atchison.

Survivors include: her husband, Gary Boatright, of the home, Muscotah; mother, Judith Brown, of Muscotah; daughter, Jennifer La Joie, of Muscotah; son, Matthew Boatright, of Kansas; four brothers, John Michael Brown, of Muscotah, James Brown, of Sabetha, Kansas, Jeff Brown, of Muscotah and Danny Brown, of Hutchinson, Kansas; three granddaughters, Lois La Joie, of Muscotah, Savannah Boatright and Charlotte Boatright, of Petaluma, California.

She was preceded in death by: her father, John Brown; and her paternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas, where the family will greet friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
